Non-Profit Status
The Green Valley Kansas Foundation is organized in Kansas as a not-for-profit corporation under K.S.A. 17-6002. The Foundation is a tax-exempt non-profit organization under U.S. Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(4). Membership fees and contributions to help defray costs of the Foundation are not normally tax-deductible. No member of the Board of Directors or regular/founding members will be compensated for their services or participation but may be reimbursed for reasonable approved expenditures such as mailing materials, website hosting, postage, email addresses, etc.
